Triggers
Triggers are rules that stop autoplay, close a session, or change strategies when a condition is met.
What is a Trigger?
A trigger is a rule of the form when a condition is met, run an action. Triggers are how you stop autoplay at a loss limit, close a session once it reaches a profit target, rotate strategies after a streak, or reset a progression that has run too deep. They run on every plan.
Triggers come in two scopes:
- Session triggers watch the whole session and can act on any strategy in it. Add them under Session Info → Triggers on the Current Session page. Templates carry their session triggers into every session created from them.
- Strategy triggers belong to one strategy and travel with it into every session that uses it. Add them in the Triggers card on the strategy page or in the Triggers section of the new strategy form. Inside a session you can only switch them on or off.
Each scope allows up to 50 triggers, and a trigger can combine up to five conditions with AND or OR. Closed sessions cannot get new triggers.
The Triggers section of Session Info has presets for the common cases: Stop Loss, Take Profit, and Recovery Strategy. Start there and edit the result.
Conditions
Session-level conditions read the session as a whole. Strategy-level conditions read one strategy; in a session trigger you pick which one, in a strategy trigger it is always the strategy the trigger belongs to.
Money and streaks
- Session P/L: session net profit or loss at or above, or at or below, an amount
- Strategy P/L and Strategy ROI: the same for one strategy, as an amount or a return on wagered
- Max Drawdown: the worst peak-to-trough drop of the session so far has reached an amount. Once met it stays met, so pair it with a one-shot action such as Stop Autoplay
- Trailing Stop and Strategy Trailing Stop: the drop from the running peak has reached an amount. Unlike Max Drawdown this re-arms when a new peak is set. Trailing Stop can be limited to a positive peak
- Session Peak and Strategy Peak: a new high-water mark was set this round, optionally above a minimum amount or ROI
- Recovery to Break-Even (Zero P/L): the share of the worst drawdown won back toward zero P/L
- Recovery to Peak (Prior High): the share of the worst drawdown won back toward the previous peak
- Win Streak and Loss Streak: the last N rounds of the session all won, or all lost. A push breaks the streak
- Strategy Win Streak and Strategy Loss Streak: the same for one strategy, counted on real rounds, virtual rounds (while the strategy is disabled), or both
- Partial Streak and Strategy Partial Streak: N rounds in a row that won something back but still lost overall
Counts
- Round Count: rounds played in the session compared to N
- Progression Step: the strategy's step compared to N. The step is read from the round that just finished, so "step 5" fires after step 5 has been played
- Strategy Bets on Board: how many of the strategy's bets are on the board, compared to a count
- Strategy Counts Since Enabled: spins, wins, or losses since a trigger last enabled the strategy. A manual toggle in Session Info does not reset it
Wheel patterns
- Outcome Pattern (beta): over a window of recent spins, pick a group (straight numbers, streets, dozens, colors, and so on) and a measure (distinct positions hit, most or fewest hits, hits on a selection) and compare it to a value
- Chop streak (beta): the number of alternations on red/black, even/odd, or high/low in a window. Zero can break the streak, be skipped, or count as an alternation
- Uniques Since Repeat: how many distinct numbers have hit since the last repeat, compared to a value
Actions
- Close Session: ends the session. This action always fires once and stops any lower-priority trigger in the same round
- Stop Autoplay: halts autoplay; you can start it again by hand
- Enable Strategy and Disable Strategy: turn a strategy on or off from the next round. Enabling through a trigger resets the strategy's progression to step 1 and clears any pause. Toggling by hand in Session Info keeps the progression where it was
- Pause Strategy and Resume Strategy: skip betting for N rounds, or until resumed, while keeping the progression. Resume only clears a pause; it does not enable a disabled strategy
- Switch Strategy: disable one strategy and enable another in the same round
- Random Switch Strategy: enable one strategy at random from a pool of two or more and disable the rest. The pick can land on the one already active
- Adjust Base Unit: multiply, add or subtract, or set the base unit. The result must stay above zero
- Randomize Base Unit: give each selected strategy a random base unit from a minimum, maximum, and step
- Reset Progression: back to step 1
- Reduce Progression Step and Increase Progression Step: move N steps down or up, stopping at step 1 or the last step. Not available for Labouchère and Oscar's Grind
- Enable Trigger and Disable Trigger: switch another session trigger on or off from the next round
- Remove Winning Bet and Restore Removed Bet: take this round's winning bet off the board, or put the most recently removed bet back
Strategy triggers offer a subset: the strategy's own enable, disable, pause, resume, progression, base unit, and bet actions, plus Close Session and Stop Autoplay. Switching strategies, randomizing base units, and toggling other triggers are session-only.
Fire Modes and Options
- Once on cross: fires when the condition turns from false to true, then re-arms only after it turns false again. This is the default and the right choice for stop conditions
- Every round while met: fires on every round the condition holds
- Every Nth match: for single-condition triggers on counts and P/L, fires at every multiple of the value (round 10, 20, 30, or every 50 of net change)
- Priority: when several triggers fire in one round their actions are applied in priority order, and the highest priority is applied last, so it wins a conflict. At equal priority the newest trigger is applied last and wins
- Max triggers and Min cooldown (rounds): cap how often a strategy trigger can fire in total, and how many rounds must pass between firings. These two options exist on strategy triggers only
- Enabled: the on/off switch in the list
Evaluation Order
After every round the engine evaluates strategy triggers first, then session triggers. Every condition reads the state as it was before any action in that round, so one trigger's action never feeds another's condition in the same round; the effect shows up from the next round.
The Sandbox runs both scopes exactly like live play. The session Simulation (Monte Carlo) runs session triggers only and ignores strategy triggers. See Sandbox and Simulation.
Trigger Status
After each round, the Trigger Status table shows every trigger with its outcome for that round: Fired, Not met, Already met (still met from the previous round, so it does not fire again), Not due yet, Cooling down, Limit reached, Not checked, Off, or Misconfigured. Hover an outcome for what it means. Click a row to expand the reason and each condition's values, with the current value listed right above the target it is compared against.
It appears on the Play tab for the latest round, in the Sandbox for the round you are viewing, and in the expanded rows of the Rounds overview.
Trigger History
- Session Info → Triggers → Trigger History lists every firing with its round number, a Session or Strategy badge, the condition, the action, and whether it succeeded. Click an entry to see every trigger's status on that round
- The Rounds overview on a session detail page shows the events per round, and the Triggers accordion lists them for closed sessions
- The Sandbox has its own trigger Log that resets with the sandbox
History shows a trigger's current condition, not the one it had at the time it fired, so edit triggers between sessions rather than mid-session when you want a clean record.
Examples
- Stop loss: Session P/L at or below −100 → Stop Autoplay
- Take profit: Session P/L at or above 50 → Close Session
- Protect a win: Trailing Stop of 30 with a positive peak → Close Session
- Cap a Martingale: Strategy Loss Streak of 6 → Reset Progression
- Rotate after a cold run: Strategy Loss Streak of 4 → Switch Strategy to a flat-bet strategy
- Step-gated entry: Progression Step of 3 on strategy A → Enable Strategy B
